CPD says why Putin doesn't want to end the war

The Kremlin has rejected an international initiative for a temporary cessation of hostilities, betting on an escalation of the conflict in the coming months. Wanted
Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin has rejected a proposal for an unconditional 30-day cease-fire as he intends to continue military operations against Ukraine. We are talking about the operations that the aggressor country has planned for the summer of 2025. The head of the Centre for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko, said this in his Telegram channel, commenting on Moscow's reaction to the proposal of the "coalition of the resolute".
The Kremlin, according to Andriy Kovalenko, Moscow is not interested in a peaceful settlement and prefers to continue the conflict in order to intensify hostilities in the future.
We shall remind you that representatives of the "coalition of the resolute" arrived in Ukraine on 10 May and suggested that Russia start a full 30-day ceasefire on all fronts, including land, sea and air, starting from 12 May. If the Kremlin refuses this proposal, Western countries promised to increase military aid to Ukraine and tighten pressure on the Russian authorities.
On the night of 11 May, the Russian head of state spoke to journalists, where he offered to resume direct talks with Ukraine "without preconditions" in Turkey on 15 May. At the same time, he did not mention the offer of a ceasefire from the 12th.
We shall remind you that the truce announced by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on 8 May expired at midnight on 11 May.
