- Collaborator Chaika was blown up in a car in occupied Starobelsk

Valeriy Chayka, being retired, went to co-operate with the Russian occupants as "deputy head of Starobelsk district".
In occupied Starobelsk, Luhansk Region, a collaborator of the deputy head of the "Centre for Service of Educational Organisations", Valeriy Chayka, was blown up. This was reported by the head of the Luhansk OVA Artem Lysogor.
Occupation "media" confirmed the death of Valery Chaika in Starobelsk, as a result of a car bombing.
Another collaborator was sent into oblivion. Chaika is a typical "waiter", who since Soviet times did not hide his sympathies for the "Russian world". His son built a successful career in Lugansk after the occupation of the regional centre, and in 2022 with the arrival of the Russians in Starobelsk and Valery himself immediately went over to the side of the enemy, - said Artem Lysogor.
Yana Litvinova, the head of the Starobelsk GVA, told Suspilnyi Donbas that Valery Chaika was retired at the time of the occupation, and had previously been secretary of the district Komsomol committee, head of a motor transport company, deputy head of the district administration, and was one of the regional leaders of the Party of Regions.
From the first days of the full-scale invasion, having been retired for a long time, he cooperated with the Russian occupiers as "deputy head of Starobelsky district", later as a counsellor. Lately, he headed the centre for servicing educational organisations. During the occupation, he psychologically pressurised people, inducing them to cooperate with the occupation authorities, threatening to harm children in particular," Litvinova said.
She noted that his wife, a teacher with many years of experience, also actively co-operates with the occupation authorities. The pensioner is again "teaching" at the local gymnasium.
