China's Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the "crisis" in Ukraine

China believes that every effort should be made to de-escalate and end the war through negotiations.
There should be neither winners nor losers in the Russian-Ukrainian war. This was stated by the speaker of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Wang Wenbin, at a briefing on 3 April, Ukrinform reported.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said this while commenting on the telephone conversation between the leaders of China and the United States.
Wang Wenbin said that China's position on the "Ukrainian crisis" (in China this is how the war in Ukraine is called - ed.) is consistent, clear and transparent.
He noted that there is a risk of further aggravation of the "crisis", so efforts should be made to de-escalate and end the "conflict" through negotiations, not war.
There should be no winners and losers in a political settlement, instead peace should reign. China will continue to play a constructive role to achieve this goal," the Chinese diplomat said.
China is not the one who created the conflict, is not involved in it and has never transferred weapons or military equipment to any belligerent party, he said.
We have not sought and will not seek benefits from the conflict, and other countries should not discredit and attack the normal relations between China and Russia and should not undermine the legitimate rights of China and Chinese companies," Wang Wenbin said.
