Budanov explains why the number of fires in Russia has increased
The number of fires in Russia has recently doubled.
The head of the State Fire Service of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, said this in an interview with Forbes.
Budanov commented on the information that the number of fires in Russia doubled between November and December 2022.
Many of the fires are not accidental, something is burning all the time. The signalling equipment on the railways is on fire several times a day, the traffic is constantly on fire for 2-3 hours, sometimes for 5-6 hours, on different lines. It is clear that the entire section is not just burning.
When asked whether Ukrainians were involved, Budanov said that not only Ukrainians were involved, because "money works wonders".
For example, on 7 February there was a fire at one of Russia's largest oil refineries.
And on 17 February, there was an explosion at an explosives factory in Russia.
