26 Mariupol residents killed in fires during occupation - city authorities

A total of 26 people, including one child, died in fires during the occupation alone.

People in Mariupol are burning alive, city mayor's advisor Petro Andryushchenko has said, citing documents obtained by activists. According to him, 26 residents, including a child, died from fires in Mariupol during the occupation

Nine of them were in December. In total, there were more than 60 fires during that month

Andryushchenko wrote that thanks to Mariupol Resistance, the city council received a photo of Gauleiter Ivashchenko's official correspondence:

What they don't say out loud, but everyone knows. Main cause of fires is crookedness of contractors when repairing power grids and their overload

Andryushchenko said that fires occur because the housing stock is totally unprepared and there is no normal electricity supply in houses:

Due to punctured and unrepaired roofs, water gets into houses. As a result, the wiring shorts out. As a result, fires start in flats. And the lack of heating forces residents to use heaters, but the occupiers failed to establish a normal electricity supply. So the result is the same - flames in flats

Local residents of Mariupol are suffering at the hands of the invaders. It should be noted that the size of the Old Crimea cemetery has increased several times over the past few months
