Starting in August, certain events will take place that will demonstrate the incipient turning point in the war against Russia. At the same time, active hostilities will drop to almost zero by the end of the year. This was stated by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov in an interview with the British broadcaster ITV news .
According to him, Ukraine will return to the borders of 1991 and does not consider any other scenarios.
By the end of the year, active hostilities will drop to almost zero. We will resume control over our territories in the foreseeable future, - said the head of Ukrainian intelligence.
Budanov is also sure that the leadership of the Russian Federation will not succeed in the war against Ukraine.
Putin will not succeed. This is a tragedy that he brought Russia and Ukraine to, and it will end in disaster for Russia. Nothing else, he said.
In turn, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg believes that Russia's war against Ukraine is likely to end at the negotiating table. Stoltenberg stated this in an interview with El País .
Most likely, this war will end at the negotiating table. We are responsible for ensuring the strongest possible position of Ukraine and helping it to remain a sovereign and independent European nation, says Stoltenberg.
According to him, the best way to do this is to provide strong military and economic support and promote tough sanctions against the Russian Federation.
