British PM Starmer advised Zelensky to return to dialogue with Trump
Peace will not last without U.S. guarantees, says Britain's prime minister.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has advised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to establish a dialogue with US leader Donald Trump after their argument at the White House. This is reported by Financial Time.
According to Starmer, any peace will not last without US guarantees.
The Prime Minister's priority is to do everything possible to protect Ukraine. This means that the United States must be involved, - quotes the interlocutor of the publication.
Starmer believes that it is necessary to fix these relations and return to the agreement on minerals. As the publication points out, Starmer urged Trump and Zelensky to finalise the agreement to "allow the US to share some of Ukraine's mineral wealth".
According to one of Starmer's allies, the prime minister will make it clear to European leaders at the 2 March summit that "there is only one negotiation going on - and that is Trump's negotiation." Another interlocutor said that Starmer will tell European leaders that they should back up their verbal support for Zelensky with actions.
After the US, Zelensky travelled to London. He met with Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Today, 2 March, a summit on Ukraine will be held in London.
