Most of the women captured by the Russians are civilians

There are 126 women in Russian captivity, most of them civilians, according to updated figures.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories.
It is known that the Russians are holding 46 military women and 80 civilian Ukrainian women.
According to the National Information Bureau, as of the end of June 2023, there are 126 women in Russian captivity. Of these, 46 are military and 80 civilian," the report said.
It is noted that 23 captives have children: 14 servicemen have 23 children and 9 civilians have 15 children.
As previously reported, about 42,000 women are defending Ukraine. And taking into account civilian workers, the number of women in the army reaches 60,000. In May, Anna Malyar reported that there were 5,000 women on the front lines. The media also reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces proposed the creation of a women's combat unit. In the opinion of the speaker of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, such a decision could give women access to top positions and ensure equal rights during military service. It is worth noting that the story has not been followed up so far.
