Biden is no longer afraid of Putin - The Hill

President Biden's term is coming to an end.
White House President Joe Biden is no longer afraid of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's threats, so he has given Ukrainian troops permission to use long-range ATACMS missile systems against targets on Russian territory. This is reported by The Hill.
The publication writes that the decisive factor for the American president was the involvement of the North Korean military in the war on the side of Russia. This was enough for Ukrainian troops to start using US ATACMS missiles on the frontline just a few days after the official announcement.
Biden's decision to give Ukraine the green light to launch ATACMS strikes against Russia may have something to do with the fact that President Biden is leaving the White House. But whatever the case, the president has decided not to be deterred any longer by the fear of the Russian nuclear threat, which never materialised," the paper writes.
The newspaper said that Biden's indecision was the reason why Russian troops began to actively advance on the frontline and Ukrainian troops began to suffer significant human losses. The newspaper points out that if Ukraine had received the weapons promised by Washington in time - at the beginning of the confrontation, the Russian Federation would not have gone so far in attacking Ukrainian cities.
And Ukraine would have avoided so much mass death and destruction, from which it continues to suffer," the material says.
We will remind, Vladimir Putin officially signed amendments to the nuclear doctrine of Russia. It says that Moscow can use nuclear weapons to defeat "aggression against the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus ... with the use of conventional weapons, which poses a critical threat to their sovereignty and/or territorial integrity".
