A series of explosions were heard in the city, resulting in a fire



This was reported by the mayor of the city, Andriy Sadovyy.

At first, Sadovyy reported that the explosions heard in the city were the work of air defence systems. Later, he also stated that there was a fire.

The air alert in the city lasted almost 2.5 hours. According to the chairman of the Lviv OVA Maksym Kozitsky:

18 such drones flew in the direction of the region. 15 of them were shot down by the forces of PMC "West". Seven were shot down directly in the airspace of Lviv region. The figures may still change slightly, the information is being clarified," the message reads.

He also said that there are 3 hits in industrial warehouses and fires at four locations. The official noted that these are ordinary warehouses, nothing militarised on them did not store. From under the rubble in Lviv pulled out two people - a woman and a man. The woman is tentatively without injuries and did not need hospitalisation. a 26-year-old man received a fractured limb, he is hospitalised in a state of medium severity.

According to the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the night of 19 September 2023, the enemy used strike UAVs of the type "Shahed-136/131", as well as ballistic missile "Iskander-M".

27 Shaheds were destroyed by air defence along their route in the Southern, Central and Western regions.
Also, a reconnaissance UAV of operational-tactical level was destroyed in the eastern direction," the statement said.
