American think tank: only 3% of Ukrainians have a positive attitude towards Russia
How the attitude of Ukrainians towards Russia has changed over the past six months
Almost 9 out of 10 Ukrainians believe that Russia is committed to the destruction of the Ukrainian state.
Analysis data published by the American think tank "Atlantic Council".
Half of Ukrainians consider the current Russian regime to be fascist. Ukrainians overwhelmingly blame the current invasion on both the Kremlin and the Russian people.
The citizens of Ukraine believe that without a decisive victory, Ukraine will never be safe. Also, the vast majority of Ukrainians rule out any normalization of relations with Russia for at least one generation.
- 92% declare themselves ethnic Ukrainians. This figure would make Ukraine the 3rd most mono-ethnic country in Europe after Portugal and Poland;
- The number of Ukrainians who view Russians positively has plummeted from 47% in 2018 to just 3% today;
- 78% of Ukrainians exclude any normalization of relations with Russia for the next 2-3 decades.
