After May 9, the flow to enter Ukraine exceeds the flow to exit
Starting from May 9, the number of Ukrainians who return to their homeland exceeds the number of those who leave.
The total net inflow to Ukraine these days amounted to 31,000 people, which is a record high since the beginning of the war, Interfax-Ukraine writes.
During the day on May 14, about 84 thousand people and more than 20 thousand vehicles crossed the western borders of Ukraine with the EU and Moldova, and more than 37 thousand people left.
Over the past few days, there has been a tendency to increase the number of citizens returning to Ukraine. Almost 46,000 people arrived over the past 24 hours, of which more than 42,000 are Ukrainians, Ukrainian border guards state.
Over the past day, the number of registered vehicles with humanitarian cargo decreased to 259 from 279 the day before, while the number of vehicles that crossed the border, on the contrary, increased from 18,000 to more than 20,000.
According to the Polish Border Service on Twitter, on May 14, 31.5 thousand entered Ukraine, while the day before - 27 thousand in the opposite direction, the flow amounted to 22.9 thousand compared to 21.2 thousand in Saturday.
According to the UNHCR, as of May 13, 6.111 million people have left Ukraine since the beginning of the war (excluding entry flow), including 3.316 million to Poland, 957.98 thousand to Romania and Moldova, 800.1 thousand to Russia, Hungary - 594.66 thousand, Slovakia - 415.4 thousand, Belarus - 27.31 thousand.
According to the State Border Service, 1.699 million people have entered Ukraine since February 28.
