Donald Tusk has ordered preparations to deport foreigners
The head of the Polish government pointed out that Poland had let about 2m Ukrainians into its territory.
Poland is preparing for systematic deportations of foreigners who have broken the law while in the country. This was announced by the country's Prime Minister Donald Tusk, writes PAP.
Tusk indicated that he had already instructed the interior ministry to develop a plan for deportation of foreigners and obliged the police to be ready to act.
I have asked the Minister of Interior and Administration and the Minister of Justice to present a quick plan for an immediate response to organised and violent crime committed by foreigners. Anyone who visits Poland, takes advantage of our hospitality and grossly violates the law will be deported from Poland," the prime minister said.
The politician pointed out that the first deportation flights could be already in the coming days.
According to Tusk, such tough measures will help reduce the number of illegal migrants in the country, as well as reduce the crime rate in Poland.
He named the border with Belarus and Russia as the weakest areas on the border, from where illegal migrants enter the country. Tusk recalled that Lukashenko and Putin had organised an artificial excitement on the border of the country and tried to "crush" Europe with the influx of illegal immigrants, brought by them from Asia and Africa.
He also pointed out that many Ukrainians had arrived in Poland, for whom the country had "opened its heart". Tusk noted that the country's authorities would not take on more than Poland could.
If someone in Europe thinks that Poland should take on another burden, then no matter who says it, I will say that Poland will not fulfil it. End of story," he emphasised.
