About a thousand square kilometres of Kursk region under AFU control - Syrskyy

We continue to conduct offensive operation on the territory of Kursk region. Now under our control is about a thousand square kilometres of the territory of the Russian Federation, - said the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU Sirsky.

According to him, the Ukrainian military continues to fulfil all assigned tasks. Fighting continues virtually along the entire front. The situation is controlled by the Ukrainian defence forces.

We shall remind you that on 7 August, Russia said that the Ukrainian military had launched an offensive in Kursk Region. Ukraine did not officially comment on the event earlier. At the same time, information and photos that the Ukrainian armed forces are increasing the territory of control over populated areas in Kursk Region and taking Russian servicemen prisoner appear daily on social networks.
