- A new border crossing point will be opened on the border with Poland

The next stage should be the creation of a pedestrian crossing point.
A new international road checkpoint is planned to be opened on the Ukrainian-Polish border in Samborskyy district of Lviv Region. The Nyzhankivychi-Malkhovychi checkpoint is to become fully operational in June. So far, it is used only for the passage of empty lorries. This was reported in LOVA.
Its construction is at the final stage. Its cost is 109 million zlotys (about $27.2 million), which is fully paid by Poland, - officials pointed out.
It is mentioned that Ukrainian and Polish customs officers and border guards will work together in "Nizhankovichi - Malhowichi".
The facility is designed for the movement of passenger transport and trucks up to 3.5 tonnes, - noted in LOVA.
According to the head of Lviv OBA Maksym Kozitskyy, the next stage should be the creation of a pedestrian checkpoint. According to the official, the Polish side supports such an idea.
Also, the OBA appealed to the Ukrainian and Polish ministries with a proposal to supplement the agreement on the creation of an international road border crossing point "Nizhankivychi-Malkhovichi" with a railway connection. After that, it is planned to carry out common control procedures at the railway checkpoint on the principle of work in Smilnica.
