A map of the Russian night attack has emerged: how the drones and missiles moved

In the early hours of Sunday, 17 November, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones of various types. In total, the enemy launched 210 aerial targets, of which 144 were destroyed by the air defence. This was reported in the air forces of the AFU.

The military specified that for the attack the Russians used seven strategic bombers Tu-160 and 16 aircraft Tu-95MS, as well as two long-range bombers Tu-22M3, five fighter-bombers Su-34, four fighters Su-27, 10 in. , four ships - carriers of cruise missiles.

The enemy launched 120 missiles and 90 drones at Ukraine. The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, REB means and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine," the AFU said.

As a result of the anti-air combat, it was possible to shoot down:

• 1 out of 1 3M22 Zircon hypersonic missile;
• 7 out of 8 aeroballistic missiles Kh-47M2 "Kinzhal";
• 85 out of 101 Kh-101 and Kalibr cruise missiles;
• 4 of 4 Kh-22/Kh-31P cruise/anti-radar missiles;
• 5 of 5 Kh-59/69 guided aircraft missiles;
• 42 of 90 attack drones of an unspecified type.

Russian forces also launched one Iskander-M ballistic missile, which could not be shot down. A further 41 enemy drones were not shot down.

Anti-aircraft defence worked in almost all regions of Ukraine - in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovograd, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Odessa, Mykolayiv, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Volyn and Lviv regions.

The consequences of enemy terror are currently being eliminated in Rinenska, Lviv, Dnipropetrovsk, Volyn and Odessa regions.

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the occupiers used almost 140 missiles of different types, about a thousand guided aerial bombs and more than 600 attack drones to strike Ukraine during the past week.

He pointed out that the attack was repelled by pilots on A-16 fighter jets.
