Astrakhan is one of the key locations for receiving maritime cargo from Iran.
A fire broke out in the port of the Russian port of Astrakhan. The causes of the fire are not yet known, local Russian media reported.
The fire broke out on the ship Gidrotechnik-1 and quickly spread throughout the ship - 12 special vehicles and 35 rescuers came to extinguish it.
It is Astrakhan, which is one of the key points of receiving sea cargoes from Iran - in particular, the infamous Shahed 136 drones or at least components for their assembling. This was previously reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine.
In particular, it is by sea that 200 drones in disassembled condition are expected to arrive in Astrakhan in early November.
