Five natural remedies for acne: simple finds from the pharmacy and supermarket

Besides, aggressive cosmetics are not suitable for everyone. The good news is that even in the nearest pharmacy or supermarket you can find some simple and natural helpers that reduce inflammation and make pimples less noticeable.

  1. Tea tree oil
It is often referred to as the "SOS remedy" for spot treatment of acne. Strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties allow you to apply the oil directly to inflamed areas to dry them and accelerate healing. The main thing is to apply carefully and not to abuse, so as not to get burned or peeling.

  2. Green tea
Green tea brew contains antioxidants and tannins to help soothe the skin. It can be mixed with kaolin clay (discussed below) or used as a lotion to soothe redness. Such a mild composition favours oily and combination skin.

  3. Honey
This is a real "universal soldier" in cosmetology. It has an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect, and is also rich in antioxidants. There are many homemade masks based on honey, but do not forget about possible allergic reactions: do a preliminary test on a small area of the skin.

  4. Aloe vera
Aloe vera juice or gel not only relieves inflammation and irritation, but also strengthens the skin's protective barrier, preventing the appearance of new pimples. It helps to "work" on the root causes of problems - for example, by protecting against germs and impurities.

  5. Kaolin clay
This type of cosmetic clay is good at drying inflammation and soothing the skin due to its gentle action on problem areas. Kaolin clay does not usually cause severe dryness, making it suitable for regular use on oily or combination skin.

All of these products can noticeably improve the condition of your skin if used judiciously and regularly. But don't forget that everyone has a different reaction to products, even natural ones. Therefore, before introducing something new into your care, test it on a small area of skin and consult a specialist if necessary.
