Forbes journalists suggest where the next AFU counteroffensive may begin

Word and deed

The next stage of the counter-offensive could begin in Zaporizhzhia Region.

This was reported byForbes journalists.

The journalists point out that Ukrainian and Russian troops recently exchanged artillery strikes near Hulhaypil and Polohiv in Zaporizhzhya Region.

They believe that the reason for the strikes was that the Ukrainian army was amassing mechanized forces around Huliaypil.

If this is true, it may be a sign that the Ukrainian army's fourth counteroffensive may be inevitable, despite the onset of winter.

At the same time, the publication notes that neither Russian nor Ukrainian troops currently have sufficient numbers on the ground in Zaporizhzhya Region.

If Ukrainian troops do decide to make a breakthrough in Zaporizhzhya Region, they will have to concentrate a lot of heavy forces to successfully complete the operation. There is a possibility that the Russians might notice the accumulation of forces and try to disrupt it with artillery.
