Poltavska residents supplied Russia with equipment to produce S-300 air-defence systems - SBU

An entrepreneur from Poltava region tried to do business with Russia.

It is reported that the head of a local diamond tools manufacturer acted in collusion with a person who has business in Russia.

The suspects set up a mechanism for concealed shipping of products also used by the military-industrial complex of the aggressor country. Among the "customers" of the goods were representatives of the Kursk electric apparatus plant, to which they sent tools for the production of energy protection systems at the facilities of the Russian navy, the SBU said.

In addition, the attackers had contacts with a Moscow-based company that produces components for the Russian S-300 and S-400 surface-to-air missile systems.

Ukrainian law enforcers prevented the export of over 100 units of the new consignment to Russia.

According to investigators, to implement the deal, the dealers first sent the products to their accomplices in one of the countries of the South Caucasus. From there, the "packages" were forwarded to a controlled commercial entity in Russia," the security service added.

At the moment, the perpetrators are suspected of collaborationism, Part 4, Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code. 4 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of a preventive measure is being decided and the investigation continues.
