Residents of Belarus will begin to be prepared for shelling
There is no information about shelters in Belarus in the public domain - the list of bomb shelters is classified.
The Ministry of Emergencies of Belarus will start teaching safety rules to residents of the country when air-raid alarms are declared, the Ministry's press service said.
The training is designed for two stages:
- from February 27 to March 10, what to do during the "take cover" signal will be told to children, parents and teachers in educational institutions;
- from March 14 to 18, the training will be held for residents of hostels, work collectives, as well as visitors to public places.
In addition, Belarusians will be shown special videos on television and radio to better explain how to act during an air-raid alert.
It should be noted that, officially, the places in Belarus, designed to protect people in case of emergencies, are called "protective structures" or "shelters. Information about their location is classified. Yet, according to the Belarusian media, citing rescue workers, there are about 5000 different enclosed structures, which can be used for sheltering. Most of these civilian shelters are located at enterprises and in the basements of apartment buildings. Specific coordinates will be given to residents only in case of immediate danger.
