Older women can get a pension increase
Women with an insurance record of 30 years or more can receive increased pensions.
This is written by the specialized publication NaPensii.
The editor received a question from a reader. She said that in 1976 she got a job, and in 2002 she had a stroke and received a 3rd disability group. Now her pension is 2185 UAH.
The Pension Fund said that in order to recalculate the pension, you need to work for another three years of work, but now it is impossible to officially get a job. Is it possible to change the situation? she asks.
The publication calculated that the length of service is about 26 years, and that is why she is advised to complete three years for a total length of service of 30 years, since women with a length of service of 30 years increase pensions more effectively. However, there is another option: to switch from an old-age pension to a disability pension.
Then the length of service will additionally include the period from the day of being on disability to the day of reaching retirement age. In this case, the total experience will be more than 30 years, and the payment from March 1 will be about 2,300 hryvnia, the specialist advised.
