Zelensky said he and Trump have a shared vision of possible progress on the frontline

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that there is a clear understanding between the teams of Ukraine and the USA of the real picture on the battlefield and prospects for further progress. He said this to journalists summarising the results of his participation in the UN General Assembly.

Zelensky emphasised that Ukraine focused the attention of world leaders on the war, despite the current agenda around Gaza.

The main issue is Ukraine. It is very important that Ukraine remains a topic for all leaders. Everyone wanted meetings and formats of communication," he said.

The president especially noted a productive meeting with US President Donald Trump.

We have an understanding between our teams, what is really happening on the battlefield and what progress can be made, - he pointed out.

In addition to the political agenda, Ukraine received economic support. Investment co-operation within the framework of Mineral Deal was agreed upon, a new fund has been launched, and representatives of American business are joining it. Already in October, Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko will hold practical negotiations on all areas in the USA.

Military agreements were also discussed:

• "Megadil" - a large-scale programme for the purchase of American weapons.

• "Drondyl" - agreements on direct purchases of Ukrainian drones by the US.

Zelensky specified that technical negotiations on defence contracts will start already at the end of September. In addition, the sides agreed on steps in energy and diplomacy, including scenarios for the possible end of the war.

We have talked about the main things and agreed with the president. Now we are moving on to practical implementation," the head of state concluded.
