Zelensky reported good signals from Washington and Brussels

Office of the President

Ukraine looks forward to expanding military co-operation with its allies.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has spoken about "encouraging signals" from the USA and European Union countries regarding arms supplies and expressed his expectation of increased sanctions pressure on Russia.

We are currently working with our partners on new deliveries, expanding domestic arms production and improving the supply of our army. Important agreements have already been reached, with more to come, and we will continue to work hard in the coming weeks. It is crucial that we put each of the agreements into practice as soon as possible so that the increase in resources - more equipment, more air defence, more air defence systems - can be felt in practice. This is our top priority. We are receiving political signals of the highest level - positive ones, in particular from the United States and European allies. According to all reports, the deliveries have resumed," Zelensky emphasised.

He also said that next week negotiations at the military level with US counterparts will continue, and the US President's Special Representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, is expected to arrive.

We are preparing new European defence packages and expect prompt decisive measures in the field of sanctions against Russia - the pressure should yield results," the head of state added.

In addition, Zelensky said that it is necessary to receive detailed reports from the government and the President's Office team on each agreement with international partners.

Personal personnel conclusions will be made based on the results," he said.

We shall remind you that on 9 July, during his visit to Rome, the Ukrainian president held a meeting with the US special envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg. The main topics of the talks were the issues of US arms supplies and toughening sanctions against Russia.
