Zelensky in the US spoke to Kissinger about war
Earlier, Kissinger opposed Ukraine's membership in NATO.
During his visit to the USA, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the 56th Secretary of State, a well-known politician and diplomat, Henry Kissinger. The head of the presidential office, Andriy Yermak, wrote about it in his telegram channel.
It turned out to be a deep conversation. Kissinger has many accurate quotes characterising the current state of affairs in the war with the Russian Federation," the message says.
It is pointed out that before the war Kissinger was against Ukraine's membership in NATO because he feared it would provoke a war.
Now that the process has reached such a level, the idea of a neutral Ukraine in such conditions no longer makes sense," the former US secretary of state said.
During his conversation with the Ukrainian leader, the US politician pointed out that Russia was trying to destroy the world order, violate and substitute international law and the UN Charter, "imposing its own conspiracy and interpretation of the rules".
Yermak noted that Kissinger is now one of Ukraine's lobbyists in NATO.
