Zelensky reports on one of Russia's plans to blow up Zaporizhzhia NPP
The day before, the head of the GUR, Kirill Budanov, stated that the plan to blow up the Zaporizhzhia NPP by the occupiers was fully developed and approved, and that the threat had never been so serious.
The Russians may blow up the ZNPP when they hand it over to the Ukrainians. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview with Spanish journalists.
According to him, the occupiers will also be able to do it remotely.
They are looking for the format and the moment of blowing up the Zaporizhzhya plant. We know for sure that the moment was being considered as one of the plans, that later, when the plant is handed over to Ukraine, to detonate it remotely," the president said.
He noted that in case the plant is handed over to Ukraine, the specialists are going to check thoroughly everything to find the hidden explosive devices.
When we get the station, the IAEA has to check everything clearly and in detail and to warn Russia that we know about your probable plans and they are dangerous to the world," the president said.
Zelensky said that blowing up the ZNPP could "freeze the war". In his opinion, this "plays into the hands" of the occupants, as it will give the Kremlin time to gather strength and strike again against Ukraine.
