Zelensky says when UN votes on Ukrainian 'peace formula'
The UN vote is expected on 23 February.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this at a joint news conference with the Italian prime minister in Kyiv.
According to the president, the UN General Assembly will vote for a resolution on the Ukrainian "peace formula" on 23 February.
It seems to me that our document, our "peace formula", which has already been supported by a large number of countries and we are waiting for support on the 23rd of February, when the UN will meet and vote on the relevant resolution - I think it is important that there is one position.
This statement was made in response to a question about China's "peace plan" to resolve the Russia-Ukraine war.
It is worth recalling that in his speech at the G20 summit in autumn 2022, Vladimir Zelensky presented a 10-point peace plan that addresses such issues as security, including food and energy security, as well as withdrawal of Russian troops from the Ukrainian territory.
