Zelensky tells what the Kremlin wants

Simply ending a war does not guarantee peace - Zelenski.

The Russian Federation is looking for a "short truce". The occupiers are planning to rebuild their forces, President Vladimir Zelensky said in an address to the International Security Forum in Halifax, the president's office said. The president said

A simple end to the war does not yet guarantee peace. Russia is now looking for a short-term lull - a pause to regain strength. Some would call it an end to the war as well. But such a pause would only make the situation worse

He stressed that no idea of concessions to Ukraine's territory or sovereignty can be called peace either:

Immoral compromises will inevitably lead to more bloodshed

According to him, real long-term and honest peace can be the result of a complete dismantling of all elements of Russian aggression.

Zelenskyy recalled the peace formula which he presented to the UN General Assembly and the G20 summit.
