Zelenski calls on Red Cross to help people in flooded occupied territories

More than 2,000 people have been evacuated from flooded areas in Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

On the left bank, the situation is difficult, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an evening video address.

A massive effort is needed. We need international organizations such as the International Red Cross to immediately join the rescue operation and help people in the occupied part of Kherson Region.

Every death there is a verdict on the existing international architecture, on the international organizations that have forgotten how to save lives. If now there is no international organization in the disaster area - it means it does not exist at all, it means it is incompetent, - said the President in his video address.

At the same time, the General Staff said that the occupiers prohibit civilians from evacuating from the flood zone.

In the occupied town of Hola Prystan, the occupiers are carrying out the eviction of owners of two-storey houses. In addition, the Russian invaders are occupying these buildings for their own needs. They are also setting up firing positions on the roofs of these buildings.

In Cossack Camps, Russian servicemen in a state of alcoholic intoxication are preventing them from leaving the town by blocking all routes and prohibiting evacuation.

In addition, there are numerous reports of casualties from local Telegram feeds, chat rooms and social media. People are dying because of their inability to get out of the flooded areas. The number of casualties in the occupied territories can be as high as dozens of people.
