Zelensky: situation on Bakhmut direction getting more difficult
Fighting in eastern Ukraine is at its fiercest.
President Vladimir Zelensky said in his traditional video address on the evening of 27 February:
Special attention to the situation in the east, of course - in the Donetsk region. Bakhmut direction - the situation is becoming steadily more difficult.
The President said that the enemy is constantly destroying everything that can be used to defend Ukrainian positions and defence:
Our soldiers who are defending in the Bakhmut direction are real heroes. I thank each and every person who heroically holds this direction and other directions in Donbass. Thank you to each and every person who helps our soldiers and does everything to ensure that our defenders have as many weapons, long-range weapons, powerful weapons as possible.
