West may hand Ukraine fighter jets to counter Russia more decisively
Various options are now being considered in the West to help Ukraine, with the condition not to launch attacks on Russian territory.
This was reported by the Evening Standard, citing sources involved in the negotiations
According to the sources, Western countries are trying to figure out how they can help Ukraine to gain a decisive advantage against Russia.
The sources said that "anything" was being considered as assistance to Ukraine, but with the condition not to launch attacks on Russian territory other than the one directly involved in the hostilities in Ukraine.
This is a complex issue, but it is one that is beginning to be considered because the alternative, which is to leave things as they are, is also not attractive. This is a work in progress in the US and with key NATO allies. It has not yet reached completion, but it is something that we are considering very carefully.
The discussion of supplying Ukraine with modern fighter jets is being considered, but not yet discussed.
