Zaluzhniy: I have no doubt they will go after Kiev again
Valeriy Zaluzhniy, commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, spoke about his predictions in the war against Russia.
Zaluzhny names several options for a main Russian strike - from the territory of Donbass in eastern Ukraine, from the southern direction, and also, not to be excluded, from the territory of Belarus.
The Economist magazine published Zaluzhny's interviews over the course of several meetings with the publication's journalists over the past two weeks.
Zaluzhny's main comments relate to further Russian tactics. According to the commander-in-chief, the adversaries are actively preparing for a new offensive, gathering personnel and weapons.
The offensive is very likely planned for spring, but it cannot be ruled out that the Russian command will decide to launch it as early as January, according to Kiev.
Zaluzhny said:
The Russians are preparing about 200,000 fresh soldiers. I have no doubt that they will make another attempt to march on Kiev
The combat potential will be very, very low, even if he recruits another million people in the army to throw corpses, as Zhukov (Soviet Marshal - ed.) did, it will still not bring the desired result.
Zaluzhny is convinced that the large size of the Russian army is capable of prolonging the war, but not solving it in Russia's favour.
