Youth who left the so-called. "LPR" and "DPR" appealed to the President with a request to facilitate their receipt of Ukrainian passports

Young people from the so-called "LPR" and "DPR" have created a petition asking Zelensky to make it easier to obtain Ukrainian passports upon reaching the age of majority.

For eight years of actual occupation in the so-called. "LNR" and "DNR" a new generation has grown up. However, it is very difficult for young people to get their first Ukrainian passport.

My name is Ekaterina, I am 22 years old, I was born and have lived all my life in Lugansk. We have created a petition and want to draw attention to the problem of issuing the first passport for young people from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine in 2014. Without a passport, we remain the hostages that we were in the occupied territories. In Ukraine (and I am in Poland and the situation is the same for me) we can neither work, nor study, nor get a certificate of higher education, nor rent an apartment, nor open a bank account. The children grew up out of their parents' care and finally managed to escape from the clutches of the occupiers, but according to the law we need witnesses (parents, relatives) to get the first passport. But everyone who leaves goes alone, because our parents do not support us in this. I have no relatives in Ukraine, and my parents stay at home and are not going to go anywhere. I do not know what to do. Now I am in Poland, I thought that I could get a passport for Blue City in the recently opened State Enterprise "Document", but they say that they can not help in any way, - wrote one of the authors of the petition.

The girl also wrote that, like her, young people who left the so-called. The “LPR” and “DPR” often face rude attitude towards them from officials. And not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe. In fact, the youth, escaping from the clutches of the invaders, turned out to be a hostage of the situation.

Therefore, they created a petition asking the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to simplify the procedure for obtaining the first Ukrainian passport for them. In particular, the petition says that it is necessary to make it possible to interview witnesses using remote communication.
