WHO urges countries to return masks
The death rate from coronavirus is rising again, so the countries of the world need to restore quarantine restrictions.
This was stated by the Director General of the World Health Organization Tedros Adan Ghebreyesus.
As emphasized by the organization, the incidence rate is increasing due to subvariants of the Omicron strain.
I am concerned that COVID-19 cases continue to rise, putting additional pressure on overstretched health systems and healthcare workers. I am also concerned about the upward trend in mortality,” Gebreyesus said.
He emphasized that despite the fact that there is progress in the world in methods of combating coronavirus that prevent hospitalization and death, the pandemic has not yet been overcome.
