Ukrainian air force urges Kiev residents "not to relax"
Residents of the capital are asked to respond to the alerts.
The decrease in the intensity of shelling of the capital does not indicate that the danger for its residents is over and the Russians will no longer fire rockets at the city. This was stated by the spokesman for the command of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Yuriy Ignat.
He noted that the Russians might have reduced the number of attacks on Kiev because they are stockpiling warheads or revising tactics.
There are days when there are more, there are days when there are fewer. If we have not seen shelling for three days, it does not mean we should relax and it has decreased," he stressed.
The situation, according to Yuriy Ignat, may be due to the fact that the enemy is making some kind of preparations or reorienting its forces somewhere else.
He pointed out that the Russian Federation could hit the city by replenishing its stockpiles of missiles and recalled that Russia was conducting intensive arms purchases from Iran.
Yuriy Ignat expressed hope that sanctions would affect the occupying state and make it harder for them to obtain scarce and technological components for missiles, which Russia cannot produce itself.
