Roman Kashpur, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a prosthesis, ran the London Marathon with the flag of Ukraine signed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Roman Kashpur, a serviceman of a separate support regiment with the call sign "Skif", is an example of indestructibility for his wounded brothers. This is reported by the public relations service of the military unit A3955.
Roman Kashpur is a serviceman of the separate support regiment of the AFU Support Forces Command, an active military man on a prosthesis, an ambassador of the "Cyborgs" programme of the "Grazhdanin" Foundation, a winner of the "Games of Heroes" in Kharkiv in 2020 and 2021.
Roman on a prosthesis moved and pulled a 16-tonne An-26 aircraft, setting a record entered in the Book of Records of Ukraine. He is the first Ukrainian veteran who ran a full marathon distance of 42 kilometres in London on a prosthesis.
Roman began his journey as a defender of Ukraine in 2016 at the age of 19. With the beginning of large-scale aggression, he returned to service in the AFU.
on 16 May 2019, during a combat mission, Roman Kashpur lost his foot as a result of an explosion on an enemy anti-personnel mine near the village of Yelenovka.
