Veterans may receive UAH 1.5m to start a business
on 24 March, the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation begins registering applications for the #Varto veterans' business funding programme, Robitie svoye.
This is reported by the Ukrainian Veterans Fund.
The fund will provide funding on a competitive basis for businesses of veterans, family members of fallen war veterans and families of fallen defenders and defenders of Ukraine in agriculture and the agro-industrial complex.
Veterans and members of their families of the deceased war veterans and defenders of Ukraine can take part in the competition:
- veterans, family members of fallen war veterans and family members of fallen defenders and defenders of Ukraine, registered in accordance with the legal requirements as private entrepreneurs;
- legal persons registered not later than two years prior to receiving financial support, whose founders are veterans, family members of the deceased war veterans and family members of the deceased defenders and defenders of Ukraine.
Funding
The minimum funding for a project is 500,000 UAH. The maximum amount is 1 500 000 UAH.
To participate in the competitive selection of projects, you need to fill out an application form, sign it with an electronic digital signature and submit the project application form to the Foundation electronically together with the documents in PDF format.
Documents required:
- statutory documents (for legal entities);
- documents confirming the registration of a natural person-entrepreneur or a legal entity and reflecting the up-to-date data about such person in the USRPOU (Extract or extract from the USRPOU or extracts from relevant similar information resources, received not later than 15 days before submitting the application package);
- certificate of the management board (for legal entities);
- scanned copy of the certificate of a combat veteran, disabled person as a result of war, war veteran, family member of the deceased war veteran or a family member of the deceased defender or defender of Ukraine, individual entrepreneur or at least one of the founders (participants) of the applicant subject of entrepreneurial activity and/or scanned copy of a family member certificate of the deceased war veteran and/or a family member certificate of the deceased defender or defender of Ukraine who are the founders of the applicant subject of entrepreneurial activity
decision of the governing bodies on participation in the project selection competition (for legal entities) - project application (project description);
- cost estimate;
- cVs of all project team members;
- deadline for project implementation (up to 12 months);
- if partial financing (co-financing) is envisaged, the letter of guarantee from the entity(ies) intending to carry out the partial financing (co-financing) will be required. The Applicant and/or a third party engaged by the Applicant may provide partial funding (co-financing);
- information from the notified bodies about the absence of overdue debts in taxes, fees, other compulsory payments, contributions to the compulsory social insurance funds, and unpaid wages for more than 2 (two) months as of the 1st of the month of the application package submission;
- for a legal entity: a copy of balance sheet and income statement for the last two reporting periods - interim quarterly statements, cumulative total since the beginning of the reporting year (if in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Accounting and Financial Reporting in Ukraine" and the procedure for financial reporting approved by the Cabinet of Ministers dated 28 February 2000 № 419, the applicant submits the annual financial statements as reduced only in the balance sheet and income statement - to the applicant
- For sole proprietors: a copy of accounting records for the last reporting period preceding the date of submission of the application package with a supporting document of accounting records or a letter justifying that such records have not been filed by sole proprietors, because the reporting period has not yet occurred since the registration of sole proprietors;
- a letter of guarantee on the absence of any facts of illegal receipt and/or misuse of budgetary funds.

Proposals will be accepted until 10 April 2023 (before 00:00 Kyiv time).
