Veterans can receive free training and employment in the agrobusiness sector

The project "Developing Models for Reintegrating Veterans into Agribusiness" initiated by USAID's Agrarian and Rural Development Programme (ARDP) was launched.

The project aims to ensure the integration of veterans into the agrarian sector, to provide an opportunity to acquire a new specialty or improve their qualifications free of charge, to obtain the necessary skills for further employment in the agro-sphere, to create their own business and develop agribusiness.

Qualified specialists will help to obtain the necessary knowledge and skills to master a new profession, and start or expand their own business. They will provide practical advice necessary for job search: proper writing of CVs, motivation letters, successful interviewing, working with job search resources, career guidance, and information and counseling support.

The project's partner agribusinesses will provide veterans and female veterans with offers for further employment.

The project will also contribute to the reduction of labor shortages and the development of the agricultural sector in Ukraine, which will economically strengthen and enhance the capacity of agricultural producers.

This project is very important for both veterans and agrarians. For veterans, it is an opportunity to get the necessary profession. And for agrarians - to get qualified workers, which are in very short supply now during the war. At the same time, it is support for the agrarian sector and the Ukrainian economy as a whole - one of the key issues today, on which we must work together, - says Lyudmyla Timoshenko, Director of AgriAnalytica, the project's executive partner.
