More and more companies are switching or making Ukrainian the main language.
The number of citizens who communicate only in Ukrainian is constantly growing. In August, 51% of respondents noted that they choose Ukrainian for communication. In April, the figure was 48%. The results of the survey were published by the sociological group "Rating".
Ukrainian and foreign companies that have made positive changes towards the Ukrainian language:
- Monobank removes Russian from its application. The new version will be available only in Ukrainian;
- the developers of the Ukrainian game STALKER 2 abandoned the Russian voice acting. Now the game will sound only in Ukrainian and English;
- LinkedIn now has an interface in Ukrainian;
- popular video hosting YouTube has automatic subtitles in Ukrainian;
- Sony has released an update for the PlayStation 5, which will have an interface in Ukrainian. In addition, the company left the Russian market and completely blocked the PlayStation Store in Russia.
At the same time, the vast majority of Ukrainians (87%) are not ready to make any territorial concessions in order to end the war with Russia as soon as possible, according to a survey conducted by the Kiev International Institute of Sociology.
