Bus with Ukrainians overturned in Romania
Women and children are among the victims.
The day before, in Romania, in the commune of Garoafa, Vrancea county, a passenger bus carrying Ukrainian refugees, mostly women and children, overturned. They were returning home after a forced evacuation. This is reported by the Romanian edition of Romania Posts English.
According to journalists, there were 43 people in the bus at the time of the accident.
As a result of the accident, 23 people were hospitalized, among them four children aged 5 to 16 , the publication clarifies.
13 ambulances were involved at the scene of the accident. At the same time, according to preliminary information, no one was seriously injured.
According to the media, the bus to Ukraine followed from Turkey.
The local news agency reports that driver error may have been the cause of the accident.
At the entrance to the Romanian commune, the driver lost control, which caused the vehicle to roll over into a ditch, journalists say.
The Romanian side undertook to deliver the Ukrainians to their homeland.
