Romania will train Ukrainian F-16 pilots - Zelenskiy
There is an extremely important decision to train pilots for F-16s in Romania: a Pilot Training Centre is being set up.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has summarised the results of his visit to Romania .
We discussed with Mr President Klaus Iohannis how to speed up this training and agreed that Ukrainian pilots will be included in the first wave of training," Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote.
The President thanked for all the support packages provided by Romania and said that "there will be good news on artillery and air defence".
Zelensky emphasised that Ukraine and Romania together are important donors of security, particularly food security. Work is underway with various partners to strengthen Ukrainian air defence both in the country as a whole and in the Odessa region.
In the Ukraine-Romania-Moldova triangle, we are able to create a very powerful basis for the development not only of our countries and peoples, but also of our entire Europe," Zelensky said.
The President also said that a "grain corridor" from Ukraine through Moldova to Romania will start operating soon. And this is an example of how much can be done together, which will be important not only for Ukraine, but also for Europe and the world as a whole.
