Wagner PMC mutiny leaves 13 to 20 pilots dead - media

Prigozhin's mercenaries shot down several planes and helicopters belonging to the Russian MoD.

Between 13 and 20 pilots of the Russian Defence Ministry have been killed in the Wagner PMC insurgency. This was reported by Russian proxy monitoring channels.

However, their figures vary somewhat.

In particular, Rybar reports the deaths of more than 20 pilots.

"Readovka" reports the deaths of 15 people, most of them pilots. The crew of the downed IL-18 was numbered eight people. The crew of the Ka-52 Alligator helicopter was also killed in its entirety.

"Channel One" said that it was not the IL-18 but the IL-22, with a crew of ten, not eight, that was shot down. There, commenting on the incident, they also said that when a "war correspondent" asked Prigozhin why shoot down a non-striking aircraft, the latter replied, "and the stupid plowman in the column shot down everything that took off."

Reportedly, Prigozhin allegedly agreed to pay 50 million rubles to the families of the slain pilots.

Almost all of the aircraft were shot down on Saturday morning as the PMC convoy moved through the Voronezh region towards Moscow.

The Russian defence ministry did not report military casualties during the clashes with the mercenaries. Prigozhin in a statement on the end of the mutiny claimed that the PMC has not spilled "not one drop of blood of soldiers" in a day.

Prigozhin himself is now out of contact, but according to those close to him, "sends his regards to everyone.

It is known that according to the agreements, the leader of the Wagner PMC was to go to Belarus. His transfer to the neighboring country was one of the conditions for withdrawal of criminal charges against him for the riot.
