Poland to put migrant issue to referendum
The European Union is pressuring Warsaw to host illegal migrants on its territory.
Poland plans to hold a general referendum on 15 October, the day of parliamentary elections. Poles will be asked what they think about the settlement of migrants from Asia and Africa on Polish territory. Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki made a proposal to discuss this issue with the people, reports RMF FM.
In particular, the questionnaire should ask: "Do you support the acceptance of thousands of illegal immigrants from the Middle East and Africa in accordance with the mechanism of forced resettlement imposed by the European bureaucracy?"
At the same time, Morawiecki emphasised that the Law and Justice government was against the forced resettlement mechanism for illegal immigrants from the very beginning. In his opinion, the resettlement of Africans and Asians in eastern Europe could be dangerous.
We need your strong support! We say no to illegal immigration. We all see what is happening on the streets of Western Europe: rapes, murders, arson, demolition of streets, neighbourhoods of horror," he said.
We would like to add that the referendum is also planned to include the question of the expediency of selling state-owned enterprises and increasing the retirement age for men.
