You can listen to Ukrainian radio simply by searching for the right frequency.

Ukrainian radio began to work in Russian-occupied Mariupol, Donetsk Region. This was reported by advisor to Mariupol mayor Petro Andryushchenko.

Ukrainian radio has started working in Mariupol. A simple frequency search," he said.

He urged the city's residents to spread the word and noted that this "brings Ukraine closer".

Now Ukraine is even closer," the mayoral councillor stressed.

Mariupol was surrounded by Russian forces in the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, which began on 24 February 2022. It had been under blockade since early March 2022 and under full occupation since the second half of May.

Before the full-scale invasion, 530,000 people lived in the city. According to a UN report, some 350,000 people were forced to leave the city.
