In Kherson region, four collaborators receive prison sentences

Four organisers of a pseudo-referendum in Kherson region sentenced to five years in prison.

Law enforcers proved the cooperation of local residents with the occupiers. The task of the attackers was to agitate to "vote" for the Kherson region to become part of the Russian Federation.

For this purpose, they, accompanied by armed occupants, went around private households and demanded that people put the "necessary" mark in the "ballot papers".
In case of refusal, they applied psychological pressure and threatened with imprisonment," the report said.

Given their cooperation with the investigation, the court sentenced the collaborators to five years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold positions in government bodies and to engage in activities related to the electoral process for 10 years.
