Occupiers shell residential areas in Kherson, with children among the wounded
Today, 16 June, the enemy shelled residential areas of Kherson en masse. Twenty-three people, including children, are currently known to have been wounded.
This was reported by the head of the presidential office, Andriy Yermak.
He noted that the Russian invaders carried out massive strikes on several districts of the city: the Tavricheskyy district, the Korabelnyy district and the central part of Kherson. Subsequently, a medical facility, a kindergarten, a supermarket, residential buildings, cars, and power lines were damaged.
Yermak also said that the number of injured rose to 23 people.
Among the injured are three children. All the injured have been hospitalized. Three people are in serious condition, while the rest have moderate to minor injuries. The shelter has saved the lives of many people," an OP official said.
The Prosecutor General's Office adds that investigators are continuing to take all possible and appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by Russians. An investigation into the violation of laws and customs of war (part 1 of Article 438 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code) has also been launched.
Earlier Socoportal reported that the 16 June day attack in Kiev Region damaged more than 30 houses and injured three people.
