A multi-storey building housing tourists collapses in Egypt
In Alexandria, a building that was popular with tourists collapsed. The building also housed a shopping mall.
There are people under the rubble of a 13-storey building, the number of victims is unknown. This was reported by the local media.
A 13-storey building on Khalil Hamada Street collapsed in the Sidi Beshr neighbourhood of Montaza, east of Alexandria, on Monday (June 26 - Ed.) morning," the report said.
The number of casualties could increase as there was a shopping mall on the ground floor of the building. It is known that the house was close to a highway, which might cause an accident. Emergency services are currently removing the rubble and the search for victims continues. Medics are also working at the scene.
It is noted that the cause of the building collapse is not known yet. Journalists do not report the number of victims.
