Russian aviation arrives in Belarus

The total number of Russian troops in the regional grouping of troops in Belarus will be just under 9,000.

The aviation component of the regional grouping of troops began to arrive in Belarus from Russia, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense reports.

Earlier, the monitoring group "Belarusian Gayun" reported that flights of fighter jets were recorded over Minsk with a landing approach to the airfield in Machulishchi.

Over the past 30 minutes, from 3 to 4 MiG-31 fighter jets without suspension have been seen over Minsk, the authors reported.

Airplanes over Minsk were seen in the sky over Pushkin and Dzerzhinsky avenues.

Earlier, the head of the Department of International Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus, Valery Revenko, said that a little less than 9,000 Russian military would arrive in the country to deploy a regional group of SG troops.
