US to provide Ukraine with another military aid package - AP
The aid includes a significant amount of ammunition for NASAMS surface-to-air missile systems.
The United States of America (USA) is preparing to announce the provision of a new military aid package worth 1.25bn dollars to Ukraine on Monday, 30 December. The Associated Press quoted US officials as saying.
This aid package includes a wide range of weapons and ammunition.
Among them is a significant amount of ammunition for surface-to-air missile systems NASAMS and air defence systems HAWK," the statement said.
It is noted that it will also include Stinger missiles, artillery shells of 155 mm and 105 mm calibre.
This should underscore the US commitment to strengthening Ukraine's defence capability," the agency said.
Earlier, the US administration had already announced the allocation of military aid worth 500 million dollars. That package included ammunition for HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, artillery shells of the same calibres (155 mm and 105 mm), HARM anti-radar missiles, drones and anti-drone weapons.
We would like to point out that the other day a representative of the United States Department of State, Matthew Miller, said: the military assistance that the USA has already provided to Kiev and that it plans to transfer by the end of US President Joe Biden's cadence will be enough for Ukraine for the whole of next year.
