Unknown persons hanged executioner's attributes on the monument to Catherine II in Odesa

Dumskaya

On the monument to Catherine the Second, unknown people hung an executioner's cap and a noose.

This is written by the local Odesa edition Dumskaya.

The publication reports that the photograph of the monument to Catherine the Second, on which hangs the cap of the executioner and the noose, was published by the chairman of the Southern Interregional Department of the Institute of National Memory Sergei Gutsalyuk. He also wrote:

X ... p you, not Odesa! A very eloquent installation this morning appeared on the marker of Putin's bloody marker on Ekaterininskaya Square in Odesa. Is this a noose for the occupiers or city council collaborators? For whom do you guys think.

Gutsalyuk himself added that the photo was sent to him by residents of Odesa, who were walking with their pets and noticed a new image of the Russian Empress.

It is worth recalling that the public has long been demanding from the local Odesa authorities to demolish the monument to Catherine II. This is a symbol of Russian propaganda, which Putin often uses in his rhetoric. But the local authorities, represented by the mayor of the city Gennady Trukhanov and deputies of the city council, are still opposed to such an initiative. And the monument remains in its place.
